The Survival Foods Tabs ultimate bugout food prepperation

The Survival Foods tabs were developed, a variety of factors were considered in order to develop them to their purpose as a lightweight, immediate, life-sustaining meals ration: 1. The less eating plan, the more efficient one's whole body program becomes. Generally, when eating plan is reduced, it continues to be in the abdominal program longer and assimilates more definitely. 2. Generally, of the food items we eat, a lot of it is not absorbed and used up as calorie consumption. The Survival Foods Tabs are 100% digestible as well as definitely combined by one's whole body program. The excellent company's food items we eat are more important than the amount. Low high top quality necessary protein, carbohydrates and fat can put a stress on the abdominal body program, especially the kidney program. In the Survival foods, we have used necessary protein of a higher medical value, which is 100% used. This helps secure one's whole body program from cannibalism of its own safety tissues. The fat is composed totally of human extra fat which provide the essential components of fat. The carbohydrates meals are of the top high top quality and 100% used too. 3. In 90% of all survival circumstances, some extra meals will be available. The Survival Foods pills are designed to be the margin of survival. For example, if one were lost in a woodlands area, one might have to find grubs, insects, fruits and vegetables, small animals or whatever to eat. One would have to develop to the conditions quickly until he found his way out or was stored. The Survival Foods supplements would be that margin of survival, along with whatever one could gather, to sustain you given that necessary. Another example would be wilderness or sea success. In these cases, little extra meals may be available.

Rare Mineral Discovered in Ancient Meteorite Impact Crater

A rare mineral known from just three massive meteorite impacts has now turned up in a Wisconsin crater. Researchers discovered the mineral, called reidite, at the Rock Elm impact structure in western Wisconsin. Reidite is a dense form of zircon, one of the hardiest minerals on Earth. This is the oldest reidite ever found,, said Aaron Cavosie, a geochemist at the University of Puerto Rico in Mayagüez. The Rock Elm meteorite crater is 450 million to 470 million years old, he said. Scientists first discovered the unusual high-pressure zircon in a laboratory in the 1960s. Reidite was finally identified in nature starting in 2001, at three impact sites: the Chesapeake Bay Crater in Virginia, Ries Crater in Germany and Xiuyan Crater in China. The reidite was an utterly unexpected find for Cavosie, who was collecting zircons to establish a more precise impact age for the Rock Elm crater. "No one in their right mind would have looked for reidite in sandstone," he told Live Science. The Rock Elm crater was gouged out of carbonate rocks and sandstone that contains tiny fragments of quartz and zircon. The earlier reidite discoveries were all in impact melt breccias — a mix of rock that melted and cooled into glass during the impact and unmelted rock fragments. [Crash! The 10 Biggest Impact Craters on Earth] "I work with the oldest zircons on Earth, and reidite is so much rarer than 4.4-billion-year-old zircons," said Cavosie, who presented the results of the research Oct. 22 at the Geological Society of America's annual meeting in Vancouver, British Columbia. Zircon morphs into reidite when shock waves from meteorite impacts hike up pressures and temperatures to extreme levels, equal to those deep inside the Earth where diamonds form. The pressure makes minerals tightly repack their molecules into denser crystal structures. Reidite has the same composition as regular zircon but is about 10 percent denser. The specks of reidite Cavosie spotted are smaller than the diameter of a human hair and are scattered within "shocked" zircons that were fractured during the Rock Elm impact. But each mineral reflects light differently, which caught Cavosie's eye as he examined slices of rock under a powerful microscope. Working with colleagues in Australia, Cavosie confirmed the presence of reidite by zapping the tiny zircons with electrons. Every mineral scatters electrons in a unique way, and the tests confirmed the presence of reidite, Cavosie announced in Vancouver. "This is a cool find in the realm of high-pressure metamorphism," Cavosie said. It takes incredible pressure to transform zircon into reidite, so the mineral's presence means the Rock Elm crater underwent much higher shock pressures than originally thought, Cavosie said. The transition to reidite takes place anywhere between 30 and 80 gigapascals. Earlier pressure estimates from the crater's shocked quartz topped out at 10 gigapascals, according to previous studies. Any impact crater carved from sandstone will also have zircon, and Cavosie now thinks reidite is likely more common than scientists previously thought. "It's now time to look for it where we never would have anticipated finding it,"

The Sneaky Cause of Your Sugar Cravings

Sugar shocker: Americans eat about 20 teaspoons of the sweet stuff — every day! Sugar can’t catch a break these days. With everyone from from HBO comedian John Oliver to Yahoo’s Global New Anchor Katie Couric bashing sugar’s vice-like grip on the modern diet, more and more people are deciding to ditch it. The problem? It’s really, really difficult. We’re all neurologically wired to favor sweet flavors, and eating sugar sets off signals in your body that make us feel happy — and crave more of it. Enter JJ Virgin, New York Times bestselling author of The Virgin Diet and of JJ Virgin’s Sugar Impact Diet, out today. She has identified a secret sweet-tooth trigger, and understanding how it works will make cutting back on sugar significantly easier. The Protein Factor When you crave sugar, it’s often because you’re not eating enough protein, or your body isn’t properly digesting protein, Virgin told Yahoo Health. Protein halts what she calls the “neuronal reward system— brain chemicals that motivate us to eat more food, even when we’re not hungry.” Protein also balances blood sugar, which decreases the risk of a low-blood-sugar-induced binge. If you’re eating and digesting the right kind of protein—and enough of it—cravings will lessen. Upping Your Intake Start by adding more protein to your diet. Virgin suggests reaching for animal proteins such as fish, eggs, and grass-fed beef, raised naturally and devoid of hormones whenever possible. If you’re vegetarian or vegan, Virgin suggests that you take a B12 supplement and add protein powder to smoothies. Women should aim for 75 to 80 grams of protein per day, while men might need anywhere from 100 to 120 grams. If you feel like you eat enough protein but still desire sugar, your cravings might stem from an inability to digest the protein you’re eating. Sugar can wreak havoc on the digestive system, feeding bad bacteria and making it hard to absorb nutrients from food. Rehab Your Digestive System How you eat your food affects the way it digests, so Virgin stresses the importance of paying extra attention to chewing and eating slowly, pausing between each bite. Try to avoid drinking too much while you eat, which can dilute the enzymes that digest your food, or eating too much at one time, which can overwhelm your digestive system. If you’re eating more protein, and doing it mindfully, and you’re still on the hunt for sweets, you might want to speak with your doctor about your stomach acidity. Low stomach acid can prevent protein absorption, and high stomach acid can mimic hunger, prompting— you guessed it— sugar cravings. To further nurture your digestive system, start adding more healthy fats—think monounsaturated and omega-3 fatty acids—to your diet to help lubricate your digestive tract, making nutrient absorption easier. Virgin suggests swapping sweet treats with foods like avocado and olives. “Healthy fats are satiating, satisfying, and contribute to brain health,” she said. Satisfaction from fats means you’re less likely to reach for dessert after a big meal, and a healthier brain makes you less susceptible to

Virgin Galactic pilot defied the odds to survive crash

The Virgin Galactic rocket plane had just broken the sound barrier and was shooting toward the heavens when it began disintegrating, battered by powerful aerodynamic forces. The pilots were strapped into their seats as entire pieces were torn from SpaceShipTwo. At more than 10 miles high, with fingers no doubt numb from the cold, Peter Siebold somehow escaped from the hurtling wreckage. Siebold, who had been flying Virgin Galactic's spaceships for a decade, had to rely on his experience and his instincts. He had a parachute but no spacesuit to protect him from the lethal environment as he plunged toward Earth at close to the speed of a bullet. At almost twice the height of Mt. Everest, the air is dangerously thin and the temperature is about 70 degrees below zero. It was a real world case of survival in the face of disaster, like the movie "Gravity." Virgin Galactic founder Richard Branson, left, and Virgin Galactic CEO George Whitesides, head back into an airport hangar after Branson addressed the media at the Mojave Air and Space Port on Saturday. Siebold managed to deploy his parachute and land in the Mojave Desert. His shoulder was smashed and a fellow pilot described him as "pretty banged up." He was discharged from the hospital Monday. "The fact that he survived a descent of 50,000 feet is pretty amazing," said Paul Tackabury, a veteran test pilot who sat on the board of directors of Scaled Composites until it was sold to Northrop Grumman Corp. "You don't just jump out of aircraft at Mach 1 at over 50,000 feet without a space suit." Siebold's partner, 39-year-old copilot Michael Alsbury, was found dead, strapped into his seat in the wreckage. Hundreds of test pilots, like Alsbury, have died in their work over the last century. Edwards Air Force Base, where some of the nation's most secret planes are tested, is named for pilot Capt. Glen Edwards, who died in an experimental craft in 1948. But Siebold's jump is part of a long history of extraordinary feats of survival by test pilots who have defied the odds through skill, faith or luck. Perhaps nobody can appreciate Siebold's gift for survival more than Bob Hoover, the famed 92-year-old test pilot who survived five crashes and lives in Palos Verdes. "I have been broken up from head to toe," he said. "It is the reason I am all crippled up now." In October 1947, he ejected out of one of the first combat jets, the Republic F-84, and hit the tail at 500 mph, breaking both legs and busting his face. Several years later, he was trapped in a disabled F-100 Super Sabre that slammed into the desert, bounced 200 feet back into the air and then slammed down again. It broke his back. Rescue crews had to chop him out of the wreckage. His career continued for decades longer and he eventually flew 300 types of aircraft. The fact that he survived a descent of 50,000 feet is pretty amazing. You don't just jump out of aircraft at Mach 1

Largest Underwater Statue Holds Ocean on its Shoulders

Just off the coast of the Bahamas, a giant waits beneath the waves. The nearly 2-story-high statue, dubbed Ocean Atlas, was lowered into place earlier this month and is the largest sculpture ever placed underwater. The statue, which stands 18 feet (5.5 meters) tall and weighs 60 tons, depicts a Bahamian girl holding the weight of the ocean on her shoulders. Ocean Atlas is inspired by Greek myth of the Titan Atlas, who holds the celestial spheres on his shoulders. The sculpture was designed and built by artist and conservationist Jason deCaires Taylor. While the sheer size of the sculpture is impressive, the statue isn't just a visual treat for passing scuba divers and snorkelers, Taylor said. [See Images of the Giant Underwater Sculpture 'Ocean Atlas'] "I really wanted my work to be functional at the conservational level," Taylor told Live Science. "I realized I could make an artificial reef with these sculptures and they would have a different life," he said, referring to coral creatures that can colonize the sculpture. The sculpture is intended to show that people, and especially the next generation, "can support our seas and stop them from collapsing," Taylor said. Underwater sculpture Ocean Atlas may be the biggest underwater statue, but it isn't the first. In 1954, Guido Galletti's statue of Jesus with his arms up, called "Christ of the Abyss," was placed under the Mediterranean Sea near Genoa, Italy, to commemorate a scuba diver who died there. Two statues from the same mold as the "Christ of the Abyss" also lie off the coasts of Grenada and Key Largo, Florida. A marine park near Cancún, Mexico, harbors 500 statues at three underwater galleries (many of the statues were made by Taylor). And Taylor has designed several other underwater sculpture parks around the Caribbean islands. Over time, Taylor has consulted several scientists about the most durable materials for the marine environment. He uses special marine-grade cement that is pH neutral (meaning it's not acidic or basic) and very strong; it also doesn't require reinforcing metal, which could corrode underwater. Assembling such a large structure under the waves is a huge technical challenge. Individual pieces of the sculpture were cast in concrete on land, then lowered in place with a crane, he said. A team of divers maneuvered the pieces together so they locked into place. Now complete, the Ocean Atlas stretches from the seafloor to the surface. Artificial reef Because the sculptures are intended as artificial reefs, the material used had to mimic real reef environments. "Most coral reefs are formed on natural rock formations," Taylor said. "You need an object that's extremely solid, and the surface area is textured so the coral polyps can attach and anchor themselves." (Coral polyps first attach to a hard surface, and then form colonies, which pull calcium from the seawater to create their hard homes for their soft bodies.) The sculpture also has to be placed downstream from natural coral reefs, so that embryonic coral drifting through the water will reach and colonize the structure, Taylor said. Sometimes, Taylor plans

Lava stalls short of Big Island town's main road

Lava that has been creeping toward a small town on the Big Island has stalled just before reaching the town's main road, officials said Saturday. Some lava has been breaking out along the sides of the flow, but it's moving slowly, said Darryl Oliveira, director of Hawaii County civil defense. "At this point, there's very little activity taking place that's posing any increased threat to the residents or the community," Oliveira said. The flow has stalled about 480 feet from the main road in and out of Pahoa, a town of about 1,000 residents. Lava has been streaming down the volcano's flank toward the northeast since June. Last weekend, it crossed a country road. It then smothered part of a cemetery, toppled trees and burned a shed, tires and grass. Authorities have alerted about 50 households in Pahoa they should be prepared to evacuate. Small fires from the lava were generating light to moderate amounts of smoke Saturday. Trade winds have been pushing the smoke toward the south and southwest. Opportunists pose another lava risk, Oliveira said. Someone posing as a government inspector approached a resident living within a blocked-off zone Friday and asked for access to a private property. No government official is going door-to-door to conduct damage assessments, Oliveira said. He urged residents to ask for identification if they are suspicious and to call police if they see questionable behavior. Police plan to investigate the fake inspector, Oliveira said.

EBOLA PREVENTION WILL ROBERTS WEEKLY TELEGRAM RADIO THE SURVIVAL TABS

There is no FDA-approved vaccine available for Ebola. If you travel to or are in an area affected by an Ebola outbreak, make sure to do the following: Practice careful hygiene. For example, wash your hands with soap and water or an alcohol-based hand sanitizer and avoid contact with blood and body fluids. Do not handle items that may have come in contact with an infected person’s blood or body fluids (such as clothes, bedding, needles, and medical equipment). Avoid funeral or burial rituals that require handling the body of someone who has died from Ebola. Avoid contact with bats and nonhuman primates or blood, fluids, and raw meat prepared from these animals. Avoid hospitals in West Africa where Ebola patients are being treated. The U.S. embassy or consulate is often able to provide advice on facilities. After you return, monitor your health for 21 days and seek medical care immediately if you develop symptoms of Ebola. Healthcare workers who may be exposed to people with Ebola should follow these steps: Wear appropriate PPE. Practice proper infection control and sterilization measures. For more information, see Ebola Information for Non-U.S. Healthcare Settings. Isolate patients with Ebola from other patients. Avoid direct contact with the bodies of people who have died from Ebola. Notify health officials if you have had direct contact with the blood or body fluids, such as but not limited to, feces, saliva, urine, vomit, and semen of a person who is sick with Ebola. The virus can enter the body through broken skin or unprotected mucous membranes in, for example, the eyes, nose, or mouth https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8B5-UTj8Pa0

Survival Tabs Non GMO Gluten Free 25 Year Shelf Life Celebrating 35 Years of Business

A gluten-free diet is a diet that excludes gluten, a protein composite found in wheat and related grains, including barley and rye. Gluten causes health problems in sufferers of celiac disease (CD) and some cases of wheat allergy. Some people believe that there are health benefits to gluten-free eating for the general population, but there is no published experimental evidence to support such claims. For those diagnosed with celiac disease, eating gluten-free is following an undisputed medical directive. Non-Celiac Gluten Sensitivity or Gluten Intolerance may not exist. A genetically modified organism (GMO) is an organism whose genetic material has been altered using genetic engineering techniques. Organisms that have been genetically modified include micro-organisms such as bacteria and yeast, insects, plants, fish, and mammals. GMOs are the source of genetically modified foods and are also widely used in scientific research and to produce goods other than food. The term GMO is very close to the technical legal term, 'living modified organism' defined in the Cartagena Protocol on Biosafety, which regulates international trade in living GMOs (specifically, "any living organism that possesses a novel combination of genetic material obtained through the use of modern biotechnology"). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-C2HMCPinF4

The Survival Tabs - Complete Meal in a Chewable Tablet Form

Survival Tabs or Tablets are a Complete meal in a chewable tablet Form.....And They're Delicious! Survival Tabs are intended for those emergency conditions where a person must travel light and live on whatever food they can actually carry with them for weeks or even months at a time. Twelve survival tabs per day supply a considerable portion of the calorie requirements of an active adult. It may be assumed that if the person living on them is required to "hole up", their energy requirement will be considerable reduced. When traveling across country, it may be assumed that at least some other food will be found occasionally. Survival Tabs eliminate the risk or wasted time that might be required to actually hunt for food or go out of one's way to obtain it. Survival Tabs or Tablets have a long history. Back in the 1960’s the Federal Government was searching for a food source that could be used in specialty situations. The objective was to find a product that would provide... The Best Possible Nutrition in the Smallest Possible Volume The resulting research was extremely involved and intense, and the product that evolved was used in the early space program. Eventually, a tablet was perfected and used widely as a emergency food. It came to be known as The Survival Tabs. Twelve tablets provide 240 Calories and 100% of the U.S. RDA of 15 Essential Vitamins & Minerals. And that’s not all. The reason The Survival Tabs are so effective, is that they are literally jam-packed with concentrated nutrition. The protein we use is of the highest quality only. That’s important because protein can be of varied quality. If it is poor quality, your body will not be able to assimilate it properly. With most food products, 30%-60% of the calorie content leaves the body unused. Survival Tabs are so completely digestible that 99% of their calorie content can be actually utilized for energy. Ninety-seven percent of the protein content is available for repair or replacement of essential body substances, such as blood, muscle and nerves. 25 Year Shelf Life The Tabs have been produced and packaged to last at least 10 years. We’ve accomplished this in several ways. Number one, we have compressed the tablets with thousands of pounds of pressure with our specialized tablet presses. Oxygen and moisture, the arch-enemies of food, cannot penetrate the tablets to destroy the ingredients. Number two, we use a heavy-duty, opaque bottle to pack the Tabs. The bottle does not allow either light or outside oxygen to penetrate and deteriorate the product. Number three, the closure is a specially designed screw- type lid which, along with being screwed tight on the bottle, is sealed with tamper resistant tape. When the Survival Food Tabs were formulated, a host of factors were considered in order to adapt them to their purpose as a lightweight, emergency. life-sustaining food ration: 1. The less intake of food, the more efficient the body becomes. Basically, when food intake is reduced, it remains in the digestive tract longer and assimilates
